Wasaga Beach Provincial Park Commemorative Tree Program

The Commemorative Tree Program is available to anyone who wishes to give a lasting
legacy to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Whatever your reason for donating, your
commemoration will be a beautiful addition to the Park.
The program is sponsored by the Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Park.
Information and an application form can be found below. For more information on the

A small plaque will be placed at the base of the tree, and the name of the commemoration
will be added to a central plaque located at the Welcome Centre. The cost of tree and
plaques will be a minimum of $650, and may be higher depending on the type of tree.
Prices will be set each spring with planting in the fall.

Program Policy

The Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Park will coordinate the program in
conjunction with Ontario Parks. Commemorative trees become the property of Wasaga
Beach Provincial Park.
Participants will submit specific text for the plaque, which will have a character maximum.
Donors may have plaques located at the Welcome Centre and/or placed in the ground in
front of the tree.
Buying a tree does not entitle the purchaser to any right to priority use of the tree.
Wasaga Beach Provincial Park will identify the location and type of tree to be planted.
Native species only will be planted. Trees will be planted in the fall.
Written confirmation will follow once planting has occurred.

Commemorative Tree Program Trees

Commemorative trees will be locally sourced native species. Trees purchased will be 40 –
60 mm., 150 cm. in height.

Alternatively drop or mail the completed form  to the Wasaga Beach Park Office: 11-22nd Street North, Wasaga Beach, Ontario L9Z 2V9.

The Friends will follow up on the application. Once approval has been granted payment is to be sent via a certified check or money order or an e-transfer to nancyisland@wasagabeachpark.com
