Canada Day - July 1st, 2010
Come one; come all to Nancy Island Historic Site to celebrate Canada Day! Join park staff to celebrate with loads of family activities, games, and cake for all! While on the island, visit the replica Great Lakes lighthouse for an amazing panoramic view of Wasaga Beach. These events begin at 3 pm.
Rally for Reptiles Day - July 4th, 2010
Come join park naturalists at the Wasaga Nordic Centre at 2 pm to discover the exciting world of our slimy and scaly friends who live in the dunes. Be sure to arrive early because many people are going to want a sneak peak at our live special guests!
Family Fishing Weekend - July 9th-11th, 2010
This weekend allows Canadian residents to enjoy the fun of fishing in Ontario without a licence! While participating in this weekend you must abide by the set conservation licence limits.
Join the Wasaga Beach Fish and Game Club and park staff on Sunday, July 11th at 10 am to 2 pm on Nancy Island to fish the Nottawasaga River. There will be food, games, and activities for the young, and young at heart! No registration needed.
Parks Day - July 17th, 2010
Parks Day is a national event, showcasing parks and historic sites, in every province and territory in Canada. To recognize this event, park staff are offering a night hike that will explore night time adaptations of our Wasaga Beach animals! Meet us at the Nature Centre at 9 pm to participate!
Wasaga Under Siege: A War of 1812 Experience - July 23-25th, 2010
Enemy forces are planning to attack Wasaga Beach; our peaceful shores have not seen this many cannons, muskets, and bayonettes since the H.M.S. Nancy sank! Over the weekend hundreds of re-enactors will be involved in the destruction and avenging of the H.M.S. Nancy. This exciting weekend is packed full of events for the entire family! This three day event will take place at Nancy Island Historic Site and Beach Areas 1 and 2.
